Heaven Has Welcomed Her Home

Tonight Charlotte, Tim and I were blessed to see the passing of our mom. We are so thankful that Mom knew the Lord as her Savior and went from earthly body to heavenly body in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
We know for a fact that she is now out of pain and discomfort and is now present with the Lord. (2 Cronicles 5:8) And that as a believer of Christ she will find rest as she lay in death. (Isaiah 57:2)
She now has her own mansion or more likely a small private cabin that Jesus has prepared for her and I am positive it has a beautiful view of mountains and streams and lots and lots of wild animals to see. (John 14:3)
Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death. (Psalm 68:20) Even though she has left her earthly body behind , she is alive and well in Heaven waiting for us to join her to praise God.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support during this sad but joyous occasion.
Merry CHRISTmas!

Christmas Carols at Santa Ysabel House

The boys and I went to visit Mom today and not only were we surprised by Michelle and Alex popping in while we were there but we were blessed with Paul the Guitar Man that comes to sing to the residents. The boys got to make requests and we all sang Christmas carols for almost an hour. Mom seemed to enjoy the music and the boys being there. She said that "they will bring in some livelihood" to the house.

Here is a picture of the wonderful staff that has been taking care of Mom. She is actually awake in this photo but as usual she shuts her eyes in most of my photos. Abby is the cook and always has something wonderful smelling on the stove. Vince and Peter do most of the moving of the residents and keeping them comfortable and in clean living conditions. They are the nicest people.

Carmen, on the left, is Mom's roommate and speaks mostly Puerto Rican but every once in a while she'll talk in English. She is real sweet. Edna, on the right, is a little wisp of a woman who loves to walk around the house touching everything.

Max decided to relax and kick back while listening to Paul sing and play guitar. He is so funny at times. What a ham!

Through the Looking Glass

I was headed to Starbucks the other day for a Mom2Mom meeting with the other coordinators. As I got out of the van I caught a glimpse of myself in the window reflection. Wow! The older I get...the more I look like Yvonne, my second oldest sister. I had Hollis take a picture of me and sent it to Yvonne. Her response was "Lucky you! You could look like the other sisters!" Hee hee hee. Now I know where I get my sense of humor. I think its pretty funny how much we are all morphing into each other.

Corona Snow

Can you imagine that? Snow in the Corona area? Well we were hit with 2 days of rain last Sunday and Monday and we woke up to freezing cold weather. Okay, maybe not freezing cold compared to some areas but freezing cold to us. I was taking Isaac to school looking at the beautiful snow to the north...Big Bear, Mount Baldy, Angeles Crest. And then when I turned south I saw all the snow that hit our mountains. Wow! These are the mountains that back up to Anaheim Hills and Tustin. I was totally surprised! Apparently snow was still on the ground from Tom's Farms down into Lake Elsinore. Kind of cool for the kids in our area to see. Some of my friends' houses got snowed on. We're suppose to have more rain tonight and tomorrow. Maybe some of us will have a white Christmas after all.

Sleeping Beauty

Happy Birthday Mom! Mom turned 82 on Sunday. We went to see her after Alex's performance in The Nutcracker. **No, Alex was not the nut. Hee hee.** We decided to take her to the emergency room that night. Nothing like going to the hospital on your birthday! We had forgot to bring her Maxine glasses to cut the glare of the overhead lights so we had to improvise with the baby blanket. Now these blankets are a family favorite. Our Aunt Marjory crochets a nice edging around the square of flannel and sells them at St. Joseph's hospital or gives them as gifts. I received all the lamb patterns that she had for Isaac when he was born. These blankets are perfect for us everywhere. They are just the right size to keep you warm in the car when the a/c is just a tad too cold. And Mom's ER nurse was asking Annette how to get a hold of some for herself.
Anyhow, she was actually talking more at this time while we were waiting for her diagnosis. After we found out about the brain tumor and let her know what was going on, she was able to understand that she was worse off than we had originally thought. So this last week we have been able to go see her as much as possible to keep her company and to just be with her during her last days. It's bittersweet but she has lived an amazingly good life.

World's Biggest Yard Sale

Well last Saturday, Tosha and I decided to have a yard sale to benefit mommies in need in our Mom2Mom group. Let me tell you...it was the biggest yard sale I have ever done. I'm sure Tosha's husband is never going to agree to have a yard sale there again if I am involved. We had at least half of my mom's house there along with numerous others' household items. So after 4 weeks of preparation, 10 tables of clothes, who knows how many toys and other odds and ends, God blessed us with $1050 in sales. This was the EXACT amount that we needed to give our mommies both food and Walmart gift cards. God is good.

After several people assumed this wonderful penguin was Tosha's yard art....we were able to get rid of it. Charlotte and I had found this a few years ago on the side of a trash can. Imagine that! A perfectly good penguin being tossed out. So every year we would bring her out of the attic and dress her up for the holidays. Funny thing is...Tosha about peed her pants when she walked into her courtyard one day and didn't know that she was there sitting on a filing cabinet. I told her not to feel bad...the thing always scared the life out of me at mom's house when I walked by it. I want to especially thank Andrea for calling her friend and for giving our penguin a new home. May she scare them just as well.
Can you tell we're tired? Here is the yard sale hat crew. These were a few of the hats that we were selling. Unfortunately none of them sold and Max ended up taking the reindeer hat home with us. I just don't understand why people don't like hats. They're fun!
I just want to personally thank all the people who made this yard sale a tremendous event. Your hard work, your prayers, and your hospitality are greatly appreciated!

Flat Isaac

Poor Flat Isaac got run over by Auntie Nette's car! A little history... Isaac made this in school last year after his class read the book Flat Stanley. He had to send him to another person in another state to have adventures with them. He chose to send him to Aunt Yvonne's. He came back with a broken leg, snow clothes on and a photo book of all his adventures.

Well Maxwell found Flat Isaac laying around the house and decided to take him to Thanksgiving with us at Auntie Dar's. The next day when we got to Grandma's house, Max dropped him out of Charlotte's car and left him in the street. When Annette and I came back from moving her stuff, we ran him over. Luckily for him he was flat already! Not like the mouse Charlotte ran over but that's another story.

You Can't Pick Your Family...

that's why Annette doesn't like hanging out with us for very long. Most of you know that I'm just plain nuts most of the time. I always enjoy having fun even if it is at someone else's expense. In this case it was with Annette. While cleaning out Mom's house I ran across the coon skin cap, the beanie, and swiped Cody's Pimp Daddy hat. We decided that we were going to wear them to the mall with Annette to do the "Shop til you drop" girls' night out. Lucky her!

The Orange County Zoo

We headed off on another Grandma Tour on Friday with my Mom2Mom group from church. This is really small zoo that houses animals that are indigenous to the southwestern United States. The most famous resident at the zoo is Nacho the black bear. The bears came out to see us and one even backed into the water pool to cool off his hind quarters. It was at least 80 degrees that day. I hope it cools down soon. We were quite fortunate to be able to go seeing how the Corona fire started the next day and closed all the freeways to the zoo.

One of the animals at the zoo was this guy, a mule deer. I have never seen a deer up close that was growing in his antlers. It was really neat! He had several velvety prongs growing in all in a cluster. I wish this photo came out better. The chain link was hard to shoot through.

After seeing the zoo animals we went to the duck pond to feed the ducks. While feeding them this beautiful boy came over for some food as well. He walked right up to me to get some. The kids were so excited to see a peacock up close that they were closing in on him and we had to get them to back away so he could get back to his friends. We were afraid that the kids would fall into the yucky duck water. That stuff is just nasty... and I know from experience unfortunately. Ewww! Grandma C seemed to have a good time and enjoyed watching all the kids having fun. And she was very thankful that I did not lose her into the pond while pushing her wheelchair down to the edge.

My Grannyman

This is my Grannyman, Haydn. Haydn has been with me since I've been married. He is a very sweet 16 year old siamese cat. He is my little ray of sunshine. I know he's getting old and I won't have him with me much longer so I savor each day I have. Haydn sleeps with me with his head on my cheek and an arm around my neck. When the weather is too warm he sleeps on my pillow and I use him as a pillow. He doesn't seem to mind as long as I am near him. I ran across a book called, The Grannyman by Judith Shachner, last year at the library. It totally reminded me of Haydn when we brought home Scooter, our other cat. It's about an old siamese cat that reflects on his life and prepares to die until a new kitten arrives in his home. He then teaches the kitten everything it needs to know about life. It is a really nice book. Haydn did that with Scooter until Scooter became the Alpha Cat in our home.

Here is our wonderful Scooter using Haydn as a pillow as well. I am so surprised that Haydn hasn't died due to the abuse that Scooter puts him through. That poor old cat never gets to leave a room without Scooter jumping him. Scooter is a beast but he's sweet in his own way too. Scooter loves to sleep under the covers by my feet and is good until you move too much and then he'll attack you. Should have had him declawed! Isaac and I went to the pound the other day to license our dog. We checked out the animals, which we do everytime we go there even though Jeff has said "no more cats!" Let me tell you...it took all the willpower in me to not adopt the blue point siamese kitten that was there. He was so cute and talkative! Isaac told me to get him and I told him that if I do I'd have to get rid of a kid...most likely him. He decided that we didn't need the kitten after all. Too bad...the kitten would have been a nice change.

Meet Max...The Mastodon

Today we went to the Western Center Museum for Archaeology and Paleontology located in Hemet. This museum is out in the middle of nowhere at the new Diamond Valley Lake Reservoir. When they began construction on the reservoir, they ran across numerous fossils of extinct mammals. Paleontologists had to work quickly to preserve and remove the fossils in order to not delay the construction of the reservoir. What would have normally taken a complete season to remove one mammal was done in the matter of hours. This is Max, one of the mastodons uncovered. Below the display are the real bones that they uncovered. In this room there are some hands-on activities for the kids. They provide clay to make fossils and crayons to do rubbings of different animals.

Here is a really neat way to show how an excavation is done. This section is actually the floor of the room where you can walk on top of what was excavated in the manner it was found. It kind of gives you the real sense of uncovering it yourself. Grandma was kind of paranoid rolling on top of it. She thought it was just glass and not able to withstand any weight. Of course the boys had to jump up and down to show her how strong it was and get her more upset.

Plant Portraits is one of the travelling exhibits currently being shown. This collection, showing about 80 paintings, depicts California wildflowers and plant life painted by A.R. Valentien from 1908 -1918. He had been commissioned by Ellen Scripps to paint these in hopes of being published. Unfortunately the cost of publishing was too much for Miss Scripps and eventually upon her death the collection of 1100 paintings was donated to the San Diego Natural History Museum. These paintings are amazing. The detail and color are extremely rich. Here is Grandma and the boys next to a painting of Mariposa Lilies. All in all this little museum was fun to see and thankfully it is in the middle of nowhere so there was practically no one there.

Introducing...Miss November!

Not exactly a centerfold but isn't she a cutie! This is our new hamster, Miss November. She is a robo dwarf hamster. We just got her today and boy is she full of spunk! I made the boys recycle bottles and cans and cash in all their loose change so they could buy another hamster. Maybe "ownership" will help them take care of her better. They were able to come up with the $20 for the hamster and her playground. We are hoping to train her so that she is people friendly and maybe even potty trained. Do you know that they actually sell litter boxes for hamsters with tiny scoops as well? It's amazing to see what you can spend your money on in pet stores. We had the unfortunate experience of finding poor Blackjack stiff as a board this morning. On a side note...never tell your kids the dead animal is "stiff as a board". They will want to make sure that is the correct description and touch it themselves. Luckily I am definitely not the squeamish mom and let the boys touch him to make sure I was right in my assessment of him....they told me I was.

If You Build It...The Kids Will Come

And they certainly do! Legoland is a fun place to take the kids. It is amazing how many things there are almost life-size and built solely out of Legos. The boys and I talked Jeff into playing hooky from work and go to Legoland. It was a perfect day...the longest wait was 5 minutes. While in the Pirate Shores area, Isaac and Jeff went on "Splash Battle", Maxwell was staying out to shoot water at them! The "pirates" on the boat can squirt water at the onlookers and the onlookers can do the same back to the "pirates". Luckily for Maxwell he was short enough to not get too wet.

Holy Moly! For a small roller coaster this Technic Coaster flew! Here's Isaac and I holding on for dear life as our car "lost it's brakes"! Check out my hair! Pretty cool. Isaac loved this ride. We finally got Maxwell to go on it at the end of the day. I thought he was going to burst into tears on the down drop. Then he just laughed and smiled the rest of the way. Isaac just wanted to go on it again and again. I can only handle roller coasters so many times....especially small ones. They seem to be harsher on me than the big ones at other parks. I could hardly walk after I got home and the next day was horrible! I must be getting old.

Here is an amazing example of what you can build with Legos. It absolutely blows my mind when you look at all the details and the size of these animals. I would think that a lot of kids would love to grow up and be Lego engineers and designers. I must say it seems it would be fun.

Trunk & Treasure Mateys!

Avast me hearty! Here we are headed out to Trunk & Treasure at my church. The theme was obviously "Pirates"...unfortunately due to the chocolate coin recall...no chocolate coins could be handed out. No biggie... we just went with bigger and better candy to hand out. Michelle and Alex brought Grandma C to my house to get her decked out in pirate garb and thankfully Alex's recent birthday was a pirate theme as well. Michelle had all the jewels for us...even a tiny parrot to hang on to my shirt.

The boys this year wanted to be Ben 10 (Maxwell) and Upgrade (Isaac). Upgrade is one of the aliens that Ben 10 can change into thanks to the Omnitrex on his wrist. Maxwell even insisted on having black hair for the costume. Kind of strange seeing him with such dark hair. Some of my friends even thought he was Isaac. I was able to just make the costumes this year myself. I only had to attach a black stripe to Max's shirt for his. Isaac's was more fun. After buying white pants and a black hoodie at the thrift store, I cut out the green neon lines out of felt and ironed them on. Isaac liked having the face mask as well but it got too hot for him to wear the whole night.

Alex decided to come as a Jedi. The boys have seemed to latch on to this Star Wars craze. I don't think that this will be the last time we see them dressed up like this. Alex decided to not go trick or treating in his area and give us a try. I think he had fun with the boys for a second night of goody-getting. While Grandma, Michelle, and I handed out candy at our decorated car trunk, Jeff took the boys around to the other cars and to the bouncers and other activities that were available.

Born on a Mountain Top in Tennessee...

Greenest state in the land of the free. Raised in the woods so he knew every tree, Killed him a bear when he was only three. Davy, Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier.

Here's the boys' latest themed costumes for Treats in the Streets. Alexander was Davy Crockett (compliments of Cousin Anna, who made his costume for a dance performance he did), Isaac was a Frontier Marshall making sure that the buffalos (Maxwell) were left alone to run free. We had a great time as usual with the exception of Maxwell begging to go home because he was tired. I think we pooped him out at Disneyland yesterday. I actually had to pick him up early from school because of it. He then got his second wind and was fine for a while gathering treats.

We saw this sign in one of the antique stores in the downtown area. Thought it was totally appropriate for a photo op. Can't be having any buffalo poached along the way!

So after an hour of getting tons of candy we headed home. Have to have some rest for more candy gathering tomorrow night at church. Okay, maybe I just need the rest....the kids are on a sugar high.

The Grandma Tours Kickoff

We are off and running with the Grandma Tours again. Isaac just finished up his first trimester at school and is now off for a month. We kicked off "The Grandma Tours" with a trip to Disneyland with the family. Annette, Cody, Shawna, Dexter and Anna were able to join us for a fun day at the park. The day was fantastic! The weather was cool and the lines were short. A tourist's dream come true. This was Dexter's first trip to the park. He seemed to enjoy himself as much as a 9 month old could. I kept seeing him just looking around at all the bright colors and people around us.
Maxwell picked his favorite ride to be the first on our list to go on. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is a fun interactive ride where you are put into a star cruiser that is equipped with astro blasters that fires a red laser. Your goal is to battle the Evil Emperor Zurg and save the universe. As you gather points from hitting the targets you are then ranked as a Space Ranger at the end of the ride. Both boys just love this adventure.

Isaac and Max were able to try their hands at playing music in Tomorrowland's Innoventions attraction. Maxwell was picked to play the drums and Isaac, the guitar. This section was hosted by Yamaha. The drum set was great. You could either play it and hear the music or plug in headsets and not hear it at all. The guitar could sound like a guitar, a piano, a japanese guitar, etc. The technology behind this is ingenious.

We went on one of Grandma's favorite rides "The Jungle Cruise". This is one of the original attractions at the park. The neat thing about this ride is that Grandma's father helped build it. He worked on the animals, particularly the elephants and the hippos. I have always loved this ride. The jokes still make me laugh and they always seem to come up with new ones. Check out the vandalism on the front of our boat. I can't believe Grandpa would have done that! Grandma must have a secret admirer there.

Third Place Winner!

He did it! Isaac got a trophy for coming in third place in popcorn sales for the Cub Scouts. Thanks to all of you who supported us, Isaac's total sales were $636. Parker, who is next to him, was the top seller with $2100 in sales. Wow! Talk about a salesman! We are seriously going to miss Parker when he bridges up to Boy Scouts in February.

The boys are laughing so much in this photo because their Cubmaster, Kevin, who made the trophies, attached a sound chip to the back of the popcorn cup that plays "The Popcorn Song". Their expressions are priceless. All in all our pack did a fantastic job in fundraising. We were able to sell $10694 in popcorn. We even came in higher than last year....amazing in this economy! Way to go Cubs!!

Facing Your Fears

I know, I know...not another hospital visit! My friend, Barbara, had to have an MRI done of her neck. They were suppose to put her under to do this because she is EXTREMELY claustrophobic and I was to drive her there and back because of the meds. Well Kaiser screwed up and didn't schedule her on the day that they actually do that and she had to face one of her biggest fears...being trapped in a skinny noisy tube. Not the best situation to be in. So I told her to "suck it up and hop on in". She kind of glared at me and said something I can't repeat but hopped on the bed or rather plank and slid in the tube. Now to keep her calm I had to sit with her. No big deal except that I had to remove my bluetooth, my phone, my keys, my belt and put in earplugs. Man, talk about noisy! So after 12 minutes of this, she was able to slide on out and looked very triumphant. Way to go, Barbara! Not everybody could face their fears like that.

She's Too Sexy for This Blog

That's right...she is too sexy for my blog. Well for those of you who do not know this sexy lady...this is the infamous and hilariously funny Tosha. Tosha has been my friend for the past 3 years and is in my Mom2Mom group. Yep...she has put up with me for 3 years. Her first impression of me was "Oh, Lord, please don't put me at that crazy girl's table!" And guess what? The good Lord did not listen to her little cry and stuck her with me. She has fallen in love with my crazyness...literally. Our first playdate together she fell and almost knocked herself silly at the park on a sliding pole. She was to say the least VERY graceful.

So....you want to know the secret to her sexiness? Oxygen...pure oxygen...and lots of it. Just kidding! Tosha has been struggling with not only an immune deficiency issue but also sarcoidosis. Sarcowhatsis? To put it simply, clumps of scar tissue that form in your organs. These are in her lungs...hence the oxygen. So every so often Tosha has a major problem breathing and needs to go to the hospital to get it under control. She just recently went to UCI rather than St Joseph's. And I now know the reason why...they brought her fresh baked cookies! How's that for treatment? So needless to say I highly recommend UCI over all the other hospitals that I have been to lately...and that has been a lot of them. This year so far I have clocked 39 emergency room hours alone. I think I am a seasoned hospital visitor. Tosha thinks so too...I came in to see her the other day dragging in a chair, kicking off my shoes, and resting my feet on her bed. She looked at me like "Been doing this often?" Yep. That I have. Please pray for Tosha and for the doctors to find a treatment that will get rid her of or at least put this stuff into remission. One can only handle the smell of a face mask so long.

Grandma Gets Gussied Up

Well this is a surprise for all of us...
Mom has made a miraculous turn around! We sprung Mom out of the hospital last night (again without knowing what is wrong with her) and placed her into her temporary residential care facility. After having a rough night there of not knowing exactly where she was, she got up early this morning, got all dressed up and had a big breakfast. Wow! Abigail stayed the night there so that she would have someone there she knows and ease her into her new home. Mom then proceeded to chat with the employees and other residents there and then had a big lunch. No vomiting at all....go figure.

The boys and I came over to eat our lunch with her and then kidnapped her to the park. Thankfully it is only a block away...it's hard to push Grandma in the wheelchair with Maxwell sitting on her lap as well. Lazy boy! The boys went off playing while Mom and chatted in the shade at the playground. The park has a really cool rock climbing wall. This will be good for the boys to build up their muscles while burning energy to keep them out of my hair. It's nice to know that they still love each other and play together without too many fights or tantrums. The fresh air always seems to make them play more nicely. Thankfully there was a nice breeze to cool the sweat off me. We are back to 90 degree days. What's up with that? Last weekend I nearly froze from the weather changing to 70 degrees. I can't wait for it to settle down.

My Corny Kids

These little kernels must be mine! They look just like me in my corn hat. Today we went on a play date with my Mom2Mom group to Irvine Regional Park. They had the pumpkin patch set up in the middle of the train track with lots of stuff to do. Besides plenty of photo locations like this one we were able to ride the train and see some of the historical aspects of the park. We rode past a large flock of peacocks and peahens and plenty of ducks. One of the buildings there has wood shingles that the woodpeckers hide acorns in. The squirrels, who watch them, then sneak up and tear off the shingles trying to get the acorns without getting attacked by the woodpeckers. Dangerous lifestyle if you ask me.
Isaac thought he'd try his luck at picking this pumpkin to go home with. I told him nice try. He couldn't even lift it! He and Maxwell then took off and went through the hay bale maze and haunted house. We ended our day with them jumping and playing in the bounce house with our friends.

Well it looks as though the boys are still growing. I don't know how they do it with how picky they are with what Jeff makes for dinners. Every night there is some kind of complaint about what they have to eat. You'd think we were poisoning them or something. I don't remember being this picky as a kid but then our family ate mostly meat and potatoes and Jeff is a lot more creative with our dinners. He deserves an award for some of his dishes. It's amazing how good they are with what he hides in them.

Holy cow! ... What the heck is that?!?

Okay, well today did not go as I had planned it to go. Mom ended up in the ER again because she was extremely weak this morning and couldn't even stand up. Abigail called me and I told her meet me at the hospital. We were able to sit in the ER room with Mom most of the day which was a great surprise. Normally you're only allowed one person to visit. It made the time pass by faster. The nurses pumped her up with fluid and did some xrays. I left the ER for 10 minutes and next thing I know Mom has this wonderful thing going up her nose and down to her toes.
Well I just started laughing because for some reason it just struck me as funny. Poor Mom...apparently it was extremely painful to put in. They were prepping her to pump her stomach to see if there was something in there not passing through and causing all this trouble. I tried to get them to do a scope of her upper g i but they wouldn't. I am so frustrated with Kaiser right now. The best thing that happened today was that the aunt of my mom's weekend caregiver was working and got mom a private room with a sitter to watch her. Thank you Lord! One less worry on my mind. So tomorrow I will try again to get her moved to her new home. Above is our beloved Abigail. She has been the best caregiver a mom could have. We are going to miss her when Mom settles in to her new home.

Grandma C and Aunt Shirley

Funny how age makes you look more like your siblings. Mom and Shirley are practically twins! We were able to get our Aunt Shirley and Uncle Freeman out here early for vacation to see Mom. For a while there we weren't sure if they would make it in time. Thankfully Mom has turned for the better and looks to be on the road to recovery. Aunt Shirley was able to just hang out and relax with Mom and even go to the doctor's appointment with us. Nothing like taking 6 people to Mom's appointment. I'm sure her doctor was surprised to see four of us in his little patient room. We were able to get a few answers and a referral to see if we can get more.

Sorry this photo isn't clear. Kind of hard to hold a camera still while you are laughing. Charlotte took Aunt Shirley and Uncle Freeman up to Simi Valley to meet Tim. They went to a chinese restaurant for dinner. They had asked for two teas "to go". This is what they ended up with. Aunt Shirley almost wet her pants from laughing! That is one big "to go" container! I guess they had run out of cups and put both teas in a big soup container. Pretty funny!

Down Time at Disneyland

After a couple of weeks of craziness from running back and forth to take care of Grandma C, we needed some down time and decided to go spend the day at Disneyland. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed all the fall and halloween decorations. We could have, however, picked a better day...it was 90 degrees there! Yuck!

Our first stop was to go on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. Now the subs have been shut down for 8 years and I totally forgot how sick I get on them. The windows have little fans that blow air in them so I sat up close to get some air but by doing that the window distorted my view. Not a good combination. I thought I was going to be joining Grandma C with a barf bucket. Eww!

Maxwell wanted to go on the Haunted Mansion which was decorated with the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. Of course he whined the whole way in because he is still afraid of the dark but once we were off the elevator he started to have fun. My favorite part is the busts of the 5 old men done up as pumpkins. I just love the song "Grim Grinning Ghosts".
